    Description

💜🖤 Diaphonization is the chemical process of staining the bones then rendering the flesh transparent so as to provide a non-invasive means of studying the anatomy and osteology of a specimen. Modern protocols were introduced and perfected by scientists in the 70’s, but the concept dates back over 100 years.
It sounded like fun so I decided to learn how to do it. 🥰
It’s a very tedious and lengthy process requiring many steps, lots of chemicals and attention to detail. The average turnover time for a complete specimen is 3 months, start to finish.
You will receive one (1) *A-GRADE* jarred diaphonized stingray (roughly 3” in size) with your purchase. A-grade specimens are a step below flawless (A+) but are still quite stunning and perfect for those who wish to display and study an amazing diaphonized specimen!
