    Description

Antique German semi mechanical cigar cutter in the form of a dancing or curtseying Lady with an elaborate skirt. Finely engraved and marked GERMANY she is operated by pushing down on one arm. When she closes her knees come together a fraction of a millimeter closer than they should due to wear on the cut steel edge of her skirt or the edge of the holding pin from many years of movement, the throughs the alignment of the two plates out marginally showing the back portion of the head. She will stay perfectly closed occasionally but the slightest release of her causes the legs to close fractionally tighter. To be expected in a semi mechanical piece of this age. Measures 2 1/8" tall by 1 1/4" wide and dates to the 19th Century.
