Built from 1983 through 2004, the KX 500 is considered by many to be the best big bore two strokes ever built. With Kawasaki's power (KIPS) valve, these bikes put their big power to the ground.
ABOUT THIS BIKE: First year inverted forks, which were a huge improvement over '89's conventional forks. Suspension was rebuilt (see photos) and everything feels great--no leaks noted. Has almost new desert tank--fits well---looks good. Aftermarket seat cover looks almost new w/gripper center section. FMF pipe--w/a couple of small dings. Original silencer has weld on spark arrestor added. Nice plastic. Devol aluminum radiator guards. Devol aluminum rear master cylinder guard. Trick Fredette Racing chain guide. Renthal sprockets & chain. Mounting tabs for Scotts steering stabilizer (stabilizer not included). Excellent aluminum MSR bars, ASV controls, excellent tires at 95%, etc.
Black anodized rims--Rear has been re-laced with HD (heavy duty, larger diameter) spokes. Front rim has one small ding.
